I think i just broke out of the slump i've been in, in terms of art. It's funny how doing something out-of-the-box can be so refreshing.

Though, i have to say that i can't take all the credit for this.

Actually, it all spawned from a conversation i had with a friend after seeing this picture. We came to the conclusion that those two looked like two of my characters. And art happened.

So I guess I owe some copyright to whoever owns that picture of Bono and the green day guy.

Well, cliché or not, he's still one of my favorites. This drawing features his early, somewhat cuter, look. The picture i referenced was drawn by Chris Sanders if anyone's interested. Thats the guy who did the designs for Lilo and Stitch by the way.

The funny thing is that it all just happened because I wanted to draw Tim sitting like that. Hahaha.

2 minutes ago i stumbled across(upon?)a video interview/ comic-con panel with Josh Whedon, who wrote the story for Dr. Horrible, and his crew. After a lot of funny, yet pointless blabbering they said the following:

And there will be a contest. “We will take video submissions for the Evil League of Evil. No longer than 3 minutes, like you’re applying for Survivor or something, We’ll put the 10 best videos on the DVD. We’ve got a couple of things to do first, like the soundtrack…”

How awesome is that!? This is the perfect excuse for me to act like a supervillian, and actually have a purpose with it, other than looking stupid in my room.. ahem..

Yeah, and I saw The Dark Knight last week. Awesome! The Joker was fucking sweet. Loved his design and personality. Oh, and the way he walked. haha.

I watched Kung Fu Panda two days ago, and it was freaking amazing! The story was predictable, but the art and the animation was fantastic! I could have seen it over and over.

Anyway, I drew some art of it when I came home. Po the panda and Master Oogway the tortoise. I really wanted to draw Tai Lung too, but damn he's hard to draw.

Reality Check

A friend of mine recently asked me if I ever drew realistic stuff, and I had to answer "Not really, no".
So last week, I took the challenge and tried my hand at it.
I found some photos from http://thesartorialist.blogspot.com/ that I liked, and then i just started drawing. Before I knew it I'd drawn 8 pictures. I had a blast doing them!

So, Im back from a weeks vacation, and it feels quite good, since i didn't bring my markers. Stupid. Won't make that mistake again.

It's funny how fresh and new the internet feels when you've been offline for a whole week. I should do that more often.
